Gulf provided project management, engineering, design and procurement support services for the installation of twelve (12) greenfield compressor stations, consisting of Titan 130E, Titan 130, Mars 100, and Taurus 60 Solar Turbines gas turbine compressor packages, totaling 407,500 HP (23 compressor units) across the Gulf XPress (GXP) and Mountaineer (MXP) Projects.
The nine new GXP facilities are in Kentucky, Tennessee, and Mississippi at the midpoint between existing compressor stations on the Columbia Gulf Transmission system. The new facilities will enable increased throughput from the Appalachian Basin to the Gulf Coast.
The three new MXP compressor stations are in West Virginia along the new MXP pipeline system, which will allow additional volumes of Marcellus and Utica shale gas to reach markets in the Midwest, Northeast, South and Gulf Coast.
