Kent Wilfur, President & CEO

As President and CEO of Gulf Companies, Kent sets the strategic direction for Gulf, leads the efforts of Gulf’s Senior Management team in delivering exceptional service to Gulf’s clients, and is responsible for ensuring Gulf is an employer of choice by developing an inclusive and dynamic culture for Gulf employees. Kent has over 32 years of industry experience in various facets of project development, project delivery, and supply chain. He has previously held senior management roles at TC Energy and Enbridge leading large complex teams in the successful delivery of project goals. Kent is a member of IPLOCA and the INGAA Foundation, previously being a board member of the INGAA Foundation. He is a graduate of The University of British Columbia with a Bachelors of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering and The Richard Ivey School of Business (University of Western Ontario) with a Master of Business Administration.

Karey Cox, Chief Financial Officer

Karey Cox is the Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Gulf. With over twenty years of experience, Karey Cox has successfully filled the role of Controller before being named to the position of Chief Financial Officer. Karey joined Gulf in 2011 and has been responsible for leading Gulf’s accounting organization, including financial reporting, treasury, tax and compliance. Prior to joining the Gulf family, Karey was Group Controller at Southwest Water Company. Along with corporate experience in the energy, automotive, water and wastewater industries, Karey brings public accounting experience from her time spent at Ernst & Young, LLP. With her wide range of knowledge and experience in Finance and Accounting functions across the organization, Karey guides a team unit focused on providing effective support and counsel in Financial Reporting, Accounting Research, Tax, Treasury, and Risk Management. Karey is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a Master of Science degree in Finance and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Texas A&M University.

Bill Olson, Senior Vice President of Operations

As Sr. Vice President of Operations, Bill leads a team of professionals who are experts in delivering successful projects to their customers: Project & Construction Management; Engineering, Design and Geospatial Services; Shared Services including Procurement, Project Controls, Estimating and Document Management. Bill has 42 years’ experience in the energy industry, from his start in nuclear power to more than three decades associated with oil and gas development and monetization projects. His experience spans the globe, with bespoke project developments in over twenty countries and five continents. Bill has been a member of ASME B31.4/11 Code committee since 1996 and is currently serving his 2nd term as Vice Chairman. He is a graduate of Texas A&M University, with a Bachelor of Science in Radiation Protection Engineering, as well as a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Texas.
