This multi-year program was designed to support enhanced oil recovery (EOR) by increasing seawater supply to key oil fields in the Middle East region. Key project tasks included installing over 100 miles of large-diameter seawater pipelines, adding over 40 miles of fuel gas pipelines, expanding injection systems, and constructing support facilities. This project also included building the Hawiyah Water Injection Pump Station, which feeds treated seawater to high-pressure headers for injection into the Hawiyah and Haradh fields and is capable of delivering 900 MBPD of seawater at 3000 psi to support reservoir pressure maintenance. Gulf Companies also oversaw the looping and extension of various pipelines to enhance system efficiency and support EOR efforts.
